Excellent day today! The Sur Randy had the best day with Salmon yet this season! We had 5 keepers that made it in the box (on board) and one keeper got away. We also had 3 shakers (fish that are too small to keep). There has been a lot of bait hanging around in the bay so we hope to get more salmon throughout the rest of the extended season. California Fish and Wildlife has updated the Ocean Salmon season check out the new info here: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Fishing/Ocean/Regulations/Salmon Our region in Monterey Bay has been extended to July 15th 2017.
The Chubasco had a nice day as well for Rockcod fishing. Our 26 Anglers brought home 20 Ling cod and 153 Rockfish despite some bouncy sea conditions outside of Carmel Bay.
