Today was a pretty good day for us. Deckhand Daniel and I set off with 6 anglers for Rockfish. The weather was a chief concern as the forecast was calling for some serious weather later in the day, but it was holding pretty good locally. We fished whole squid which produced excellent fish on a slow pick. The bulk of our fish came in about 250 feet of water. We pulled mostly big Olives but we also pulled several big bottom fish like Vermillions, Boccaccio, Coppers and Canary Rockfish. We fished all day to fill our bags with some great quality. The swell was up though and that gave some of our anglers a tough time, but they rallied up and got the job done.
