This afternoon Deckhand Alfredo, trainee Caila and I set off with 15 anglers for Rockfish. The weather was just a little chunky but not bad. We hit the shallow water and really nailed the Blues and Yellows. One of the guys fishing right outside my door caught a great Tree fish. I told him that we usually only catch a couple of them a month. Wouldn’t you know it, his very next drop he caught another one! Then, a guy fishing on the back of the boat caught one. One two Tree fish. Also on the back of the boat someone got a monster Vermillion. We made it back to Monterey an hour early with limits. Not bad.
