Blue! Blue, blue, blue and blue! Finally after weeks of smoke and fog choking out the sun, the sun broke through. The ocean and clouds and skies were beautiful. 16 Anglers and Deckhand Andrew had a good time on the water today. I started the day with ambitions of Point Sur, but after checking the weather report, it was obvious that Sur was not going to happen. The forecast called for over 20 knots of Northwest wind…. no bueno. We decided to fish in front of the peninsula where the weather was awesome. Some of the nicer fish we pulled were Olives and a few reds. The fish were mostly medium schooling fish for us and they came in steady. We got limits and headed back to Monterey with a gentle following sea.
