What a day we had today. Set out with 10 anglers, 1 ride along and Deckhand Daniel for Rockfish. Since the weather was so good and it was a light load, I decided today was a good day for live bait Rockfish. The bait didn’t come easy today like it has been. We fished bait for about 3 hours before I was confident that we had plenty. The next leg of the trip was big bait, big water and big fish. Deckhand Daniel was really on the ball today getting everyone baited and keeping everyone fishing. We pulled some monster Boccaccios, Vermillions and Canaries while we cranked up some Johnny Cash tunes. We didn’t have them coming in fast, but boy, we got some local bigs. Around 1 PM we were still shy of limits so we switched gears and popped the nice Blues and Yellows to finish up the day. Don came out today and topped his bag off with a couple beautiful Verms and 2 Ocean white fish. Terry was also out and his first fish was a Boccaccio that had a mouth like a 5 gallon bucket. First time fisherman Joe got a beautiful Copper and I couldn’t help but make a meme out of the pics, so…..Check out our Instagram and Facebook for some fun pics. The weather is still incredibly good and the fishing is great lately too. Jump on a trip and get some fish while it holds.
