Well, no Halibut today, but we smashed big slob Rockfish in shallow water. Our 6 anglers caught plenty of perfect squid and the biggest sardine I’ve ever seen. No joke, that Sardine was 12 inches! Que five dollar foot long song. After several drifts with no Halibut, we let the boat drift over the rocks. We started catching big Olives, monster Blues and everyone on board got at least 1 Vermillion. Today’s special angler was a young lady named Kali that wanted to catch a fish for her 10th birthday. We can definitely check the “caught a fish” box off the list. What a day out here in Monterey.
P.S. Perfect glassy weather again and for an hour we actually saw some blue sky!
