Today, we set out with 14 anglers for halibut. Fishing for bait in flat calm water again which was nice and steady. We hit several places along the beach in Monterey bay. No luck…. The water clarity was very poor and it appears to have shut the fish down. However, I had a little spot that can hold nice fish so we headed over and put a 20 Pounder in the boat. We ended the day putting big rockfish in the bags to go along with our lone halibut.
