Hey everyone, here we go again for another day of Rockfish. Deckhand Daniel and I set out with 20 Anglers this morning in fair weather. Moderate swells were pretty close together which did turn a couple of our first timers a little green. The fish were apparently not bothered by much of anything today. Schooling fish (Blues and Yellows) were on the snap! We hit a school of fish in 190 feet of water that were trying to chew the paint off the bottom of the boat. Two by two the steady stream of fish kept coming over the rail until Deckhand Daniel yelled up to me that we couldn’t take anymore fish. 20 people, 200 fish, 20 more for the crew and that’s a wrap. It’s nice when the trips last a little longer, but today was not that day. I’m always grateful when the fish are on the snap especially when we have almost all first timers on board. Let’s hope the fish stay on the bite and ready for our next trip.

P.s. we also got a monster Petrale sole.
