Flat calm ocean, barely a breath of wind in the air, and steady fishing. Everything about today was smooth and steady. We set out with 7 Anglers for Rockfish this morning. Some of the fish were big chunky Vermillions and Coppers, most of the others were Blues and Yellows. Every fish landed made the smiles a little bigger and the distance from limits a little shorter. We settled in around Cypress point and fished whole squid on single leaders just to make sure that our trip was a little more fun. We ended our day with limits all around and the boat tied to the dock with all the fish cleaned by 11:30
More days like today are certainly welcome.
