Breaking through the fog
Cold and foggy conditions upon departure had us all hugging our coffee cups and straining our eyes looking through the mist. Thankfully the sun was able to break through after an hour or so. Heading down the coast towards big sur we were stopped by a very large school of fish that looked too good to pass up. Just seconds after the lines started dropping hooks were being set and fish were coming over the rail 2 at a time. Before we knew it the whole boat was limited out and we had to return to monterey harbor. We were able to take a couple detours on our way back up the coast to check some wildlife though. A lone Blue Whale showed up for us and a couple hundred Risso Dolphins. Another great day on the water
