Another great day spent on the waters of the Monterey peninsula today. We set off into the dark in search of live bait for an attempt of making a memorable trip for our 5 anglers. Trusty Deckhand Andrew and our stowaway and fellow Captain Isaiah were up for some fun on the rock cod grounds. Live bait in the sunrise was fantastic, catching squid, mackerel and sand dabs. After filling the bait tank we started filling sacks with reds and various other rockfish. A couple big slob Coppers and Vermillions came over the rail and We landed 3 keeper lings. (God knows how many shorties.) I’d say that today was a great day to be a fisherman.
