After two long years without a salmon season, we finally got back out there last weekend and man, did it feel good.

Opening day started slow but turned on quick! We were on the fish just a few hours after dropping lines. Both New Horizon and Kahuna ran full loads of anglers ready to get after it.

Kahuna had 19 anglers and put 27 salmon on deck. New Horizon had 25 anglers and ended the day with 28 salmon and a surprise halibut.

Sunday started with high hopes, but the bite just didn’t come together, only one salmon was landed.

 

NEXT TENTATIVE TRIP: MAYBE July 5th & 6th – Sold Out

OTHER POSSIBLE DATES: July 31st – August 3rd, August 25th – 31st, & Sept 4-7

Today, Captain Rod, and Caila embarked on a 52 mile journey down to Lopez Point, aboard Kahuna, for deep water rockfish. We landed 220 (22 limits) quality rockfish and 9 lingcod.

Every Friday in June we will be taking the Kahuna (the fastest boat in the fleet) to Lopez point. A spot that hasn’t been touched in years! 

These 12 hour trips start at 5:30am – 5:30pm and are $250

]]> The 2023 Rockfish/Lingcod season kicked off with a bang on May 1st this year, as opposed to April 1st in previous years. New regulations have opened up depth and fishing areas we haven’t seen in many years! These exciting new spots have produced some killer catches including monster reds, lings, and a species we haven’t been able to go after in a very long time-chili peppers!

Our Captains-JJ, Rod, Danny, Daniel, & Jarrod have been having a blast fishing with our customers under these exciting new regulations! Trips depart daily at 6:30am and we run 4 hour trips departing at 3pm Thurs-Sun!
