Chrissy from Randy’s Fishing Trips in Monterey, CA checked in with a Crab update. Today the Chubasco had 19 anglers Limits of Crab(190) and 700 Sand Dabs. We also had the Sur Randy with 19 anglers with 114 Crabs and 570 Sand Dabs.

Today the Sur Randy was our fishing boat and we took 20 anglers out into Monterey Bay for a day of crabbing and dabbing. We had a good score of Lots Sanddabs, 85 Dungeness Crab and 1 Petrale Sole.

The Dungeness Crab fishing season has finally begun in Monterey Bay, CA. Today the Chubasco out of Randy’s Fishing trips pulled in limits of Dungeness Crabs for their 17 anglers. In addition, we had lots of Sand dabs for our happy group. This was our first Crab trip of 2016. We are very pleased that the Crab fishing season has opened up.

The sand-dab fishing has been great. Today we even saw a nice pod of Dolphins.

We will be fishing for Crabs starting on Saturday, February 23rd.
